Released in 2013, this album was the introduction to a future endeavor by Thomas that would result in “Enjoying The View” in 2018. The single from this album is also the title track.
1. A Wonderful Thing (Remix)
This remix has been a very popular, and was exactly what Thomas would hope to have accomplished with its message of unity and inclusion for all.
2. Never Felt This Way
This song harkens back to songs that came out of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Thomas’ use of his falsetto to create a great pop vibe, along with the signature harmonies of the Tom Cats helped to catapult this song into international listening audiences.
3. You Are The One (Remix)
Thomas pared down this song with this new mix. He chose to allow the lyric, melody and harmony to stand out a bit more than in its original version from the album of the same name. It’s interesting to listen to them back to back to hear the differences in the two.
4. Until I See You Again
This light jazz piece was written to just have a bit of fun with singing a song in full harmony through the entire piece. With each verse being just a bit different than the one before it, the song builds throughout and ends with a climactic last chord.
5. Like Yesterday (Dance Remix)
It’s the same vocal with an uptempo remix. However, you can dance away the blue in this version. Interestingly, the original version was a ballad on a mostly dance-oriented album release. This was the title track to that album.
6. Doing More Than I Want (Remix)
Thomas wanted to add the energy that he knew this song deserved when he released it on “You Are The One.” This new remix pumped up the percussion and added some extra synth to create a much better vibe than before. This, too, is a great song to compare with the earlier version just for fun!
7. Old Fashioned Melody
This song was inspired by the stylings of such groups as The Sylistics and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It has a nice groove, and a remix of this song would later appear on “Enjoying The View” in 2018.
8. The Look In Your Eyes (Remix)
Again, a bit more of a dance version of this song, yet keeping its original flavor. The original version can be found on “You Are The One.”
9. Down
In this song, Thomas wanted to tell a story that comes out of a darker place, and into a better, more hopeful place for someone who gave up on love, yet finds it unexpectedly. The result is an almost country effort with gentle harmonies and an uplifting message.
10. Party With My Friends (Extended Dance Mix)
This was the first track on Thomas’ dance-oriented album “Like Yesterday.” This extended version adds a verse not heard in the original track, as well as just a lot more time to get up and dance with your friends. Enjoy, and thanks for listening!
